I have been a happy AAAA member for almost two years now.
I recently completed the criteria for the Lunar Club certificate and I am presently working on the double star list. Although I do not currently have a web page, I do have a couple of interesting projects to share with you...
I have attached a picture of my backyard observatory that I designed and built myself last summer. It features a ten-foot home dome by Technical Innovations. Inside is a pier-mounted Celestron CG-11 telescope. I would be happy to offer any advice to fellow astronomers who might be considering such a project.
Also, I have recently begun experimenting with the AstroVid astronomy video camera. I have captured some pretty neat recordings. For Christmas I got a Snappy frame-grabber which allows me to use the computer to enhance still images. I've attached a collection of my recent work.
Keep up your good work with the club. I really do enjoy being a member!!
Happy New Year!!
